Warranty Information

Thank you for purchasing an MBS Battery. It is our goal to provide our customers with an exceptional experience. This page contains information on MBS’s Nationwide Warranty Program.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR WARRANTY

  • Your free replacement warranty is the replacement of a new battery for the defective battery.
  • Battery must test defective or “bad” and not just discharged.
  • Your battery warranty does not include a delivery or installation of the replacement battery.
  • Additional charges will be required if you request a delivery or installation of the replacement battery.
  • Warranty is non-transferable
  • Batteries are excluded from warranty for faulty charging or starter systems in the vehicle.

How do I know if my battery is under the free replacement warranty period?
Determine if the battery needs a jumpstart or replacement. Most batteries that fail are simply discharged and need a jumpstart. If it has been determined that the battery is faulty it may returned within the free replacement period (calculated from the date of sale shown on your receipt) for failure to perform due to defects or workmanship. You are entitled to a new replacement battery of the same type at no charge subject to any applicable installation charges or delivery fees.

Where do I take my battery for warranty?
Locate a service provider or distributor in your area that you can take your battery to. After locating the distributor of your choice, you may want to call and confirm their hours of operation. The distribution center will conduct a test on your battery. If the battery is found to be defective and is still under the warranty replacement period, then a new battery will be exchanged.

What if I cannot bring the battery to a distribution center?

  1. MBS can provide a jump start for you so that you may drive to a distribution center. Applicable fees for the service will apply.
  2. If you are located in a battery service area, MBS may be able send a battery vehicle out to test and exchange the battery, local service fees will apply. (Hours of service are 8am-5pm Monday through Friday, 9am-3pm on weekends)
  3. If you want the service provider to install the warrantied battery, an additional service fee will apply.

What if I cannot locate a service provider or distributor in my area?

  1. You will need to locate a local parts store or distributor that is able to perform a battery test and sell batteries.
  2. Have the battery tested and retain the battery test. The battery test must contain the battery type and group size of the battery that was sold to you.
  3. If the battery tests defective, then we will need the original purchase receipt plus the battery test showing the results and the receipt of the new battery purchased. Only the cost of the battery will be reimbursed.

THANK YOU for purchasing a MBS Battery from Mobile Battery Solutions. We know dead battery events are stressful and we strive to make your experience with us as stress- free as possible. You will be required to have your receipt to make any warranty claims.

36-MONTH FREE REPLACEMENT
Mobile Battery Solutions takes great pride in the quality of the batteries we install and provides a limited warranty program for its batteries.
The label on the front of every MBS -labeled battery covered by MBS limited warranty specifies the total number of months covered by the free replacement period.*

FREE REPLACEMENT WARRANTY
If a battery is returned within the free replacement period (calculated from the date of sale as shown on your sales receipt) for failure to perform due to defects in materials or workmanship, you are entitled to a new replacement MBS battery of the same type at no charge (subject to any applicable installation charges, taxes and government required fees). This must be done at any authorized MBS battery retailer.

  1. Determine if the battery needs a boost or replacement.
Most batteries that fail are simply discharged and need a boost. If the battery is simply in need of a boost, have it re-charged and re-tested.
** MBS requires having the battery tested first to determine the cause of failure.
Most auto parts retailers offer battery testing free of charge. Simply take your battery to any retailer which offers this service and obtain a printout of the test results. No free replacement battery will be provided unless a battery test receipt is provided.
  2. If the battery does indeed need replacing and you have a test indicating such plus your original receipt, go to our website batteriesbymbs.com to find your local battery distributor for replacement.
  3. Warranty Definition: All batteries sold under this program are premium quality and carry a free 36-month free replacement period. If a battery is returned within the free replacement period (calculated from the date of sale as shown on your sales receipt) for failure to perform due to defects in materials or workmanship, you are entitled to a new replacement battery of the same type at no charge (subject to any applicable installation charges, taxes or government fees). Or you can have this done at an authorized MBS distribution center nearest you. Free delivery for warranty does not apply.

*If the label does not reference a warranty period, this limited warranty program does not apply, and MBS does not provide any warranties except as otherwise required by applicable law. Warranties may be offered by the seller at the place of purchase, but MBS is not responsible for any such warranties.

**Warranty is reduced by 50% for the MBS Auto/Truck/SUV and Marine/RV batteries if used in a commercial application and for MBS Heavy Duty batteries if used in APUs (Auxiliary Power Units).

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER merely discharged product and can be denied for batteries damaged due to abuse or neglect, including but not limited to the following:

  • Batteries that have been re-filled with any substance besides distilled water that may have contaminated the battery.
